would a bad battery ground cause fuses to blow?

my mechanic said that the ground cable on my battery was sparking everytime they cranked my car so they added another ground to it and it stopped. would this cause my car to blow ignition fuses? they checked everything else.

I guess it could be possible . I think you need to take your car to Nissan for trouble shooting like this. You really should by a $15 volt meter and check you battery when the car is on, when trying to crank the car, and when the car is running. The meter will tell you a lot of things.

The multi-meter in a hand of a knowledgeable person is a great tool...or else it's just a paper weight.
