i would say that louvres (*spelling) would belong on top of the hood if on anything but a BMW, or grills of that matter... in my honest opinion why would you want to mess up the lines of the maxima with that, doesnt look bad but at the same time it doesnt look good either... capiche ?

where ever you go ... there you are.

I think it looks damn good! I guess not everyone can "think outside the box". Besides, its not for looks, it increases airflow in the fender for the cold air intake by creating an outlet, right?

I must admit, although unique looking, it's still "ricey." I've seen them on a lot of hondas out in California.

It makes the car look like a shark... add the antenna and you'll be set. I like how it looks, but wouldn't do it to my car.

If you like it then do it...

looks o.k.... you can buy the z3 fender pieces from nopi for a small buck. you have the CUT the max fenders to put them in(and people are afraid of the cai hole)HAHAHHA.. i would worry about water getting in there and maybe starting pre-mature rust.. what did the shop charge you????

I like 'em.

mting: where do you draw the line between "ricey" and "unique"? Personally I hardly think that's ricey. I love it when I see a maxima with some nice, kinda subtle unique mod. Now throw an aluminum spoiler on it and it's a different story...

not bad, but...

it doesn't look TOO bad, but reminds me of the honda cars like the s2000 or mr2 that put them on... kinda "copy-cat"ish that doesn't belong on a max.. even if you think it looks kinda o.k.... money spent better eleswhere. like total suspension... you'll enjoy that much more than a small fender mod.

Thanks Max drivers. I did the fenders b/c I like it. It makes me different from any other Max owners. Yea, so i heard & know that hondas have them too but Niisan? Thats another story. I am going for a unique ride, so be on the look for me when my project is done. My suspenion is pretty good. Got all the sway bars i want. If i wanted to go any faster, i would have bought a Prosche. As for looks, i am happy with Maxima. Love the V6 pull on them but it is not faster than 13 sec. 1/4 mile;( At least my max isnt

CKNY: Since I live out in Cali.. I've seen practically everything on every car. Those fender gills aren't unusal out here and most of the time you see them on civics/accords. Next thing you know, people are going to start putting M3 emblems all over their cars.

mting: I understand a hundred percent. All I'm saying is IMO it's a lot better to see all these customized cars than to go to a maxima meet and see every car there with eibach springs, stillen kit, clear bumpers, and borbet type e's ya know? I like the variety, that's all.

my .02
