Thinking about buying a 2000 Maxima

I have an opportunity to purchase a 2000 Maxima GLE ,3.0L, V6
w/46,000 miles. I don't know anything about this car and would appreciate comments re: performance, reliabilty,etc.

I have an 00 SE in which I just bought and I love the car. The only difference between the GLE and SE is the suspension ride if I am correct. 46,000 miles is nothing, just have it looked at by a mechanic you trust.

Depreciation Disaster

Believe me, you would pick a 2000 max for 14-18,000 dollars and in 5 yrs, that is in 2008, you will realize that you can get $5000 from non-dealer population of commoners...

WHY?

because Nissan is "reliable up to a point" and
2002-3 models come with 3.5L 255HP engine
2004- models will come with even better specs

and so in the end, nobody will pay good money for 2000 maxima, unless it's limited edition with factory body kits.
