Progress Coilovers completed :)

Woot!

I got my car back from progress, this being the final "tuning" of my Maxima with their new coilover setup.

Think this:

a car that tracks super flat (i.e. on rails) but yet rides as smooth as say a stock m3.

this shiz is tight yo! as my ghetto lingo sets in.

The car is really really impressive, even more so than the first couple of times it was tweaked with.

my car is "corner weighted" according to my fat butt, and wowzers.. it feels great. i can now say that when i drive the car? i am WEARING the car.

400/350 spring rates, shorter piston. etc. Dampening is great! doesnt bounce as much as other springs do.. this kit is truly bad azz.. with the possibilities of a revalvable system, if it ever goes bad, i.e. leak in seal or what have you, its replace able and refillable!

thanks to Brian Catts and Jeff at Progress Group, who will soon be offering this setup to the maxima community!

hopefully you guys like my setup inputs!

think of it this way - you would have spent that much to make it handle well regardless. if it came like that (m3) you just would have spent the money up front, that's all =)

And how does one accomplish the "corner weighted" setup for their individual average/oversized/undersized buttocks? Do I tell them my weight when I order the car?

Or do we all just have to get ourselves Cheston Sized?

You have to do it for each car/driver.

There is a race shop here in town that does it.

I have no idea what they charge though.

corner weighted: means just that. you sit in the car, drive it up a ramp, and then they weigh each corner and set the height according as to even out the weight distribution.
since its FWD it will be heavier up front..

at most they should charge you $50. its pretty simple. its just 4 scales. you will have to raise the car to adjust the height tho.
