I have a boost, and air/fuel gauges. This test with the fuse out. at idle the car is at 20.5 vacume with the air-switch on and with air-switch off. It was the same. When I turn the air on the rpm jumps up 200rmps than goes back down to 750-800rpm where it idles at. The vacume comes down to 19 for about two seconds than goes back to 20.5

This test with the fuse in and the air on. It now idles at 800-850rpms and the vacume is at 19.5. When I turn the air off, the boost goes back to 20.5 and rpm gauges go back 750-800. So with the fues out and air-cond switch on I gained NO rpm and no vacume. With the fuse in and the air-cond switch on I gained 100rpm and 1 lbs of vacume.

All my tests were done at idle, But I did make two runs down the road, fuse in fuse out, just to see what the air/fuel whould do. The air/fuel meter was the same on both runs. The numbers I gave you are so close in comparison, I could not think it would make a humanly noticeable differance. Even at the track, I can not see getting any gains over this, as you can see in my notes above. It seems that my car new the compresor was not on. It may be that when the compresor is turned on it creats drag on the belt system and the ecu compromises for this, like say running on cruise control, When you go up hill the ecu knows to add more accel. and when you get to the top it settles back down to where you had it. This is my best obsurvation. I am not a Nissan tech or mech. But hopfully this will help answer some Qs.
