To Do or Not - Front Sway Bar

I posted a message the other day about suspension mods for my 2000, and got some good feedback. However, someone mentioned I should not put in a heavier front sway bar as it would make it understeer too much. My question is, I have a GXE and SE supposedly has a heavier FSB. Can I assume that switching to that one would not induce too much understeer even with the stock GXE rear springs ?
