Silverstars/Nokya +Yellow PIAA fogs compared

I first installed Nokya artic white headlights. They put out a bright scattered blue light. They are hard to get used to on high beams, because the light is diffused all over, especially to the sides, making it hard to focus your eyes in one spot ahead of the car.

But on low-beam, they outperform stock and Silverstars. They light up the street signs great on high and low beam, way ahead of stock lights. But other people hate them. I get flashed by oncoming cars often, even on divided freeways.

So, I then tried some SilverStars. They sucked big time! The light pattern was worse than stock. The beam pattern was way too tight, and I could not see the edges of the road very well. My friends hated them too. The light output WAS a little brighter/white than stock, but too focused to be of use. And way too expensive.

So I put the Nokya lights back in, and installed PIAA yellow Ion coated bulbs in my fogs. The yellow fogs offset the blue Nokya on low beam, and I can see much, much, better than stock now (on low beam). I took the Sylvania lights back to Schucks. I got my money back after much paperwork and interogation.

I got the set of Nokya's for $17+shipping on E-bay. The PIAA yellow fogs were $35.00.

I agree that the Nokya are not as good in the rain or fog. But the yellow PIAA fogs more than make up for it.

Thanks for info Nokya not lasting. If they blow, I'll now assume they all will, and won't replace them. I've had them for a month so far.
