My friend got a Maxima...

She lives in Kentucky. She told me she just got a '91 5-speed...and then sold it to her brother. She still has her old VW convertible though. She's hoping her tax return combined with the Maxima money and the VW can help her get either a Jetta, Civic, or a Rodeo. I told her to keep looking for another Max.

So much for VE power

Darn, my knowledge of 3rd gens is lacking. The horror. How can I ever go out in public again. My friend didn't like the car anyway, because it had leather seats and a loud ricer muffler on it. Maximas in general aren't really her type of car. She wants either something sall and cute, like her VW cabrio or a Jetta, or big like a Tahoe. She said if there's a Max for a good price, she'd take a closer look.

she wouldnt of gotten rid of a VE trust me.
And that's why two of my mom's friends are forever jaded against Nissans now. They both have '94s, and I know those have VEs. One of them is freaked out that her husband wants to get her another Nissan(new Altima or 04 Max). He got a Frontier for himself a couple years ago, and she fought him about it all the way. At this point, she'd rather get a Taurus.

Well...maybe they had lemons...I know people on and off the boards that are specificly looking for VEs and nothing else.

Anyway...

I'm going to keep working on my friend to talk her into getting another Max. Combining the money from selling the Max she had, her tax refund, and money from selling her VW, she may have enough to even get an early 4th gen.
After all, I joked with my friend about a 4th gen I saw on a used car lot. He knows how bad the depreciation is. It said "1995" on the windshield, and I asked if it was the resale value or the model year.lol
