Ok let's get started. I've done this before and maybe I was just confused a little on what you guys said. Now let's get this straight I'm too young to drive, I will be driving in less than 2 1/2 years. I hope to be a future Maxima owner, it is my mom's car right now. She says I am not going to get it, but who knows if not I'm going to try to find a 300ZX Twin Turbo. I hope you guys can help me out. (If you can please tell me how much the part is)

If you see this --> please scroll down and to see what I have to say. If you see this --> please scroll down and see what I have to say.

Car

• 1995 Nissan Maxima SE Automatic w/overdrive

Tires/Wheels

• Yokohama AVS Sport Tires 225/45ZR-17 ($164.00)
• Enkei RSF2 Wheels 17X7 ($180.00)

Suspension

• Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs (Price?)
• AGX (Adjustable Gas Shocks) (Price?)
• Stillen Strut Tower Brace (Price?)
• Stillen Sway Bar (Price?)

Exhaust/Intake

• HKS Hyper Exhaust (Price?)
• Stillen Y/Down-Pipe (Price?)
• Weapon-R Intake (Price?)

Engine Mods

• Ultra Street Pulleys (Price?)
• Stillen Supercharger (Price?)
• JWT Computer ROM (Price?)
• Blitz Blow-off Valve (Price?)

Cosmetitics

• GT-R Badge ($15)
• Nismo Oil Cap
• Nismo Shoulder Pads ($25)
• Razo Pedal Pads ($50)
• Engine Start Button ($69)
• PIAA Blue Lights (Price?)
• Momo Seats (Price?)
• 5-point Racing Belts (Price?)

Ok that's what I have listed now for my questions and "Jokes."

:confused : Ok first off why or would I need a Blow-off valve for a supercharger? I've seen some of the Max's here have Blitz Blow-off Valves. I thought they were only used for turbos. When a turbo builds up pressure it has to give off so that's when the blow-off valve came into place. Does a supercharger build up pressure like the turbo?

:confused Now for the Razo pedals. Somebody told me that there pedals did not fit well on the Max. Is this true? They also said when souping up an automatic Max that is tends to get expensive. Is this also true? Yea I know I listed a lot of parts, but trust me I bet a million dollars that I will never see every part I listed on the car.

; ) Ok now for the Engine Start Button. I thought it would be cool to have it. My older brother owns a Honda S2000 and it's a cool little thing to have. You just think oh yea it's just a button. You push the clutch in, turn the key, and then hit the button. Nope that isn't all that is helpful for the car. When a car jacker finally gets into your car and tries to hot-wire it he'll have a really tough time doing it, since it ONLY starts with the button. It acts like a saftey feature and I just think it's really cool to have. That is just my opinion thought.

you're talking per wheel right?

stillen front strut tower brace is about 150.. they all pretty work pretty much the same. i got a generic one for 35 bucks and it works great.

Cosmetitics

• GT-R Badge ($15)
• Nismo Oil Cap
• Nismo Shoulder Pads ($25)
• Razo Pedal Pads ($50)
• Engine Start Button ($69)

the oil cap will probably run you another 15-30 bucks.. shoulder pads are anywhere from 30-50 bucks a pair. piaa plasma blue lightbulbs are about 120, the piaa plasma HID's are from 70-100 bucks. momo seats are probably around 500 bucks each.

you also have to factor in the price of installation for a lotta this stuff. im just starting to get some parts in, and damn, installation would cost me an arm, a leg, and my left ******** if i didnt have a hook up!

Sup Maxima95

my advice would be skip the GT-R badge, everyone and their grandma's know it aint a GT-R. Skip the Weapon R intake and juss get a CAI. If you plan to go SUpercharger then dont even buy an intake or undersize pulley.

As for the BOV. a blow off valve is used to relive pressure regardless turbo or supercharger. both types are forced induction. Most Honda blowers are Roots Eaton type and you dont see BOV's on that type of blower. Maxima's have Vortec blowers with piping so a BOV can be put on.

sorry to hear about your bad experience with them, bro. i dunno, but since there have been that many people complaining, it might be worth the extra 35 bucks or so to get the courtesey bar instead of the sbc. maybe i got lucky.

na95gle - you need to call your credit card company and put that charge in dispute. You've got 60 days after that you're outta luck. Use it.

Maxima95 - Stock you've gotta very nice car (If ya get it) I'd suggest doing your car in stages. I recommend to everyone. Suspension/Saftey stuff first. Get a Sway bar and strut tower brace. I wouldn't care what brand they are. Just get both, addco and courtesy's bar are fine, Stillens is nice too, but you're paying for a brand name. Other then that save some money, dreams are nice but you'll always want something more. I can speak from experience, money = freedom. I have worked with quite a few people that get stuck with a job because they owe money on bills. If you have money set a side you have power to say - No I won't do that and then go find another job.

Anyhow don't plan on spending every dime you make. It'll just get you in trouble. Anyhow you've gotta learn this on your own. That's my "Sage" advice for the night.

Have a good day.

We can only give you prices of things now.. they might not be the same in 2 1/2 years. Besides, you might be able to save some money and get some used stuff, by then lots of us will have newer cars. Call me in 2 1/2 years and I'll see what I can do.

Ok fine I'll let my age out. I'm 13 going to be 14 in November. I live in Tennessee. I know I won't get every part that I want I just want to see what people think what parts should be fitted and whats shouldn't.

Yea I see your point on the GTR badge. Why skip the Weapon R intake and the undersize pulleys if I'm going to get a supercharger?

Thanks for explaining the BOV I understand a lot more now.

im not sure about the pulleys, but when you have a s/c, there's no need for an intake as the s/c is hooked up to the intake valve.

my friend's neighbor who is also 13yrs old recently inherited his elder brother's honda civic coupe whilst his elder brother got a new 2000 mit eclipse. even before being able to legally drive a car, this kid has installed aftermkt parts into his car...coilovers, body kit, intake and exhaust..etc.
also heard that his mom recently took him and the civic up to the drag wars in wisconsin / chicago to drag...his mom drove whilst he watched...nothing special in the car...
but the mom's philosophy is that at least this car thing gets him off the streets and out of trouble.

just my 2 cents worth. was going to tell you that my friends here are somewhat mechanically literate and can aid in installs...but you are in tennesse and I'm in Indiana.

2-1/2 years? How old are you? Like 14??

I dunno, if I were a parent I would not get my kid a nice car for their first car. Just one that is safe and reliable, and not one they can get into too much trouble with (like a Z or Maxima). It takes a certain level of maturity to drive a powerful car responsibly, and I don't know any 16-17 year olds who drive as safe as someone with more driving experience.

Anyways, if you get a Maxima, try not to get bitten by the mod bug. It will suck so much money away...
