I am still considering the UPRD ecu as long as your car is run in the same gear, on the same dyno, and shows some decent gains (10+hp from 3500-5300rpms, 10 ft/lbs of torque). I'm sure a lot more people will also be interested when you dynojet. Thanks.

I'll let you know when I do put it on the dynojet machine again, which will probably be in March. Sorry it can't be any sooner since I still have too many things to do these days (i.e. work and personal priorities), and upcoming travel plans that will side track me from this car addiction of mine at least until late February.

However, one cool thing I will have available to play with when I get back is a stock B6 ECU ('96 5spd) that I have recently obtained so I'll be able to get dyno runs with and without the UPRD program on my car and report back to you. And all my runs will be done in 3rd gear (just like before)at the same local dyno shop I've used before, so we'll have the consistency everyone has been asking for...

Thanks for the reply. Waiting till March would be good for me anyways because it will let me save some cash and make some new 1/4 mile runs with my new suspension and tires.

Nabil......

Could you tell me how many ECUs that UPRD feels they need to sell to develop the late model 4th gen ECU reprogramming? I would think we have enough people for a good group deal but sometimes when I think, bad things happen. Am I correct in assuming that they are not working on the 97,98,99 ECUs because they don't think they will sell enough of them and not because they can't crack the code???

They are Volk Racing TE37 wheels in 17x7.5" 40mm offset in the optional silver color, and for those who are curious, they weigh 14.8lbs/each by themselves, and weighed in at 37.2lbs/each with my Dunlop SP8000 235/45ZR-17 tires inflated to 36PSI.

I hope that answers ALL the questions on the wheels.

If I recall correctly, I think UPRD mentioned that if there were confirmed 50 buyers, that they would design new daughterboards for the newer model year ECUs, but we didn't even get 50 buyers with the group deal on the 95/96 boards that they already have available.....

And for your question about the 97-99 ECUs, yes you have it right... They can do them, but they won't with the demand we (Maxima Enthusiasts) have. It's about the basic economics of supply and demand, and the demand simply is not there, so the supply most likely won't materialize for us. Oh well...
