Usually, a turbo quietens the exhaust, but not in this case ... wonder why?

Hey Kev, the ring for the wastegate got mailed to you today. Do you have the gasket? If not, could you email/call Bill?

Thanks!

Wonder why... Hehehe

Thanks for the update, Nigel. I'm sure Bill has sent an email out to me already. Yes, I have an extra gasket.

Very nice Kevin! Talk about attention to detail. Just remember to go easy on the 911s with that monster.

2.5" GReddy... trying to get a 3" exhaust from a fellow member. Yes, the GReddy was on.

So is there a ballpark range in terms of pricing on this turbo kit (when it'll be fully available) ? I don't want to jump the gun here but just a range would be cool. Something to think about and open a savings account on the side.

Im still wondering why the exhaust was so loud and somewhat raspy in the vid, I think its the universal gaskets for the 'y-pipe section'. Thats similar to the sound of my exhaust when a shop put in 'universal' gaskets when they removed my y-pipe to fix a broken manifold stud. My cattman y-pipe came with a more flat gasket (for tighter seal?) and fit the opening perfect. The universal ones look to oval for the opening and IMO dont really 'seal' (fit) like the cattman set. Every since then it has had this 'raspy' sound (and sometimes smell) as if I have an exhaust leak from where the manifold bolts to the y-pipe. (No other signs of leak exist elswhere)

You will need to contact www.pfispeed.com for the price. I believe they changed some parts and dropped the price to compete with hlh0501's kit.

There's a slight leak from the wastegate. The WG valve doesn't fully seal the flange.
