Suspension B&G vs Eibach

What is everyones ideas about the diffrence between these two springs... I love the way the Audi's ride so I'm leaning towards B&G's but I don't really see them used too much? Anyone use them and like them? hate them?? I have a 40lb. box in my trunk too will the B&G's sag with the added weight and the loss of the auto tranny weight in the front seeing as I have a standard??

I'm curious what everyone thinks. I'm adding a set of racing harts and a body kit this summer too, just to give you an idea.

thanks in advance everyone

where does Audi come into the picture?? Audi's offer Eibach at the dealer.. but if you like the ride, why would you get B&Gs??

if you get the B&G, your @$$ will sag because even w.o. stuff in your trunk, the fronts will still be higher than the rear (1.6 drop all around) if you get the eibach, it drops the front 1.5 and the rear 1.3. In addition to this the B&G springs are a bit softer, which will prolly make it look even "saggier". I think H&R springs would be your best bet.

thats news to me jeep, it was my impression that the suspensions on Audi and VW were B&G, I was refering to the sport a4's (pre-S line) tight feeling, if in fact that is not the case, my bad and I'll def. got with Eibach.

and emerald... H&R's aren't low enough or aggressive enough for me. I've ridden on them, just my thoughts, but they are close to the SE springs I have now.

If the B&G's are cheaper, there probably isn't much difference.

Pics of eibachs:

I was thinking that.

I might have got a freak set though. It was an eibach pro-kit, bought early 2002, and put on in summer 2002. Freakishly low Eibachs? I dunno The auto contributes to the lower front but I have 150lbs of stereo in the trunk as well.

iansw car is an auto too. I don't know what his status is on stereo equipment, but if he doesn't have 150lbs in the trunk, my cars *** should sag more than his does.

But I guess we're getting a little away from what was original asked for -- an "even" drop.

95emeraldgxe said that the B&G's will make your *** sag, and the Eibachs will give you a poor drop. Both springs have been demonstrated to give you a nice drop in the thread, the problem is, which do you want higher? the front or the back.

Buy one of each and put Eibachs in the front and B&G's in the back

As for the tails, I never got a chance to redo them after this happened one night I parked on a curve that a drunk turn properly through: http://members.rogers.com/punkface/crunch3.jpg

I think that would be Eibachs in the BACK, and B&G's in the FRONT.

Here are some pics with the B&G drop. Check out my homepage for more pics. By the way, my drop even with the 5-speed is pretty even.

Nope, just the spare tire and a couple of t-shirts.

yep - this is my theory - the B&G's are fine if you don't have any "junk in your trunk", but they compress very easily under weight.

Anyone with more than 40 or 50lbs in the trunk seems to get the sagging problem....Whereas with most other springs it takes about 80-100+ lbs to drop it that low in the back.

ereet, I also wondered a while ago (when you had your sig) why your Eibachs look so low. It looks great though
