yes TQ would be the lower of the two.. hp will be lower.. BUT from the all gear dyno's I pulled TQ is about 15 lbs higher on my dynos

i am not sure.. but 140 NA is kinda low for a modded automatic.. so maybe 3rd gear might be higher

That graph isn't all accurate the 140 was with just a CAI my best n/a dyno was 167 hp greddy sp, CAI and y-pipe, in 2nd gear.

wow turbo on a automatic max. Did you do anything with the transmission vb mod, tranny rebuild. Im wondering if the auto tranny will hold up with all that power. Im thinking of the same setup in the future. Thanx.

I have a max tuning stage 2 Vb and i have a tranny cooler which i have yet to install, so we'll see how the tranny holds, and i only plan on running the low boost until im able to upgrade it even more. I will keep everyone informed on how it holds.

I'm 277hp, and my Autotragic survived GL5 fluid for 5 months, and still shifts like a champ!

What I would like to know if he dynoed in 2nd, what would people conservatively estimate the 3rd gear run as? Would the HP be +10hp or -10hp. Same goes with Torque. No one has given a clear cut answer on this.

Only want to know to clear up this confusion on dynoing in the wrong gear.

In the video inside the max, did they shut the car off right after the run or do you have a turbo timer?

how come iansw is pushing nearly 300 hp wit a supercharger and you aren't even hitting 200 wit a turbo? what psi are u running in? i hear and see turbo's running 300+ hp....also did u ever try running from first gear? i know that would be sick because the maxima stock in first is already like crazy power for the car....

What kind of crack are you smoking? he's hitting darned near the same numbers I am at less PSI...267hp - with a better power curve to boot!

haha ya man im really at 267 hp at 6 psi, i dunno where you got 200 from. I have a s-afc on order to do a little tuning plus i need a new fuel pump too, then i'll take it back see where im at, by the way iansw have you ever dynoed in 2nd and if so did it yeild lower #'s. cause i talked to a guy that used to do all the dyno work at pfi and he said that it really doesn't matter if i where to do it in 2nd or 3rd that the #'s would be pretty much the same, also im kinda scared to dyno in third cause i think my 3rd gear is really weak, it was having trouble shifting into 3rd when i was at full boost

Actually - I ran through all gears, because I'm Auto - 2nd Gear peak was 28hp less than the end of 3rd.....249hp vs 277....We just started the run from a stop and recorded to the end of 3rd....

Jesus, you get that AFC tuned, and you'll smoke me at 5PSI, I bet!

Note to self - Buy a Turbo ASAP.

haha the turbo is fun, another question, you do have the vb mod right?, if so how is your shift from 2nd to 3rd is it quick and hard at WOT cause iv heard its supposed to be, and mine isn't any different than it was stock, just wondering if i have to send my vb back to max tuning. ohhh i also had a run in with a 2k2 or 2k3 maxima today, the guy was tail gating me through side streets, so when i pulled onto the main road i went all the way to the left so he could get in and i see him floor it, let him catch up to my back bumper and then i went WOT, my god did i freakn fly by him so fast i lost count of the car lengths, but i think he let off after i was 10+ car lengths in front of him .

I sort of did.

With my NA engine, I get about 20 lbs more TQ and about 10-12 MORE HP in 3rd gear, instead of 2nd.

HOWEVER, since he is boosted I can't say what it might be. It would be guessing. and while I am good at guessing , I do not like to do it to often.

But, here is my guess.. I think he would be +15 HP +15 TQ

The VB Mod doesn't really feel very different to me either in the 2-3 shift.
