Katana rims? Generic or the real thing?

Fellas,

What's the deal with Katana rims. Or specifically, those brands of rims that are 'knock-offs' of other brands. For example, Katana has the C5 which looks exactly like Racing Harts C5. Does looking alike mean that have the same structural integrity characteristics?

Katana's are copy wheels. For exaple: I have the Spazios in chrome, which is a copy of the Lowenhart LD1. The Katana's are 1 piece and heavier. Also, the center caps are chrome plated plastic, so my center caps have the chrome flaking away, which wouldn't happen on the Lowenharts, since their caps are metal. I couldn't afford or would pay for the Lowenharts, but you get what you pay for.
