Yeh, it's a nice truck/suv. Looks better in person that in pics. Anyhow, I think there was a thread recently where a member here bought one, and there was some discussion about it. Do a quick search on it, and should be able to find it.

The Murano is based off the same platform as Altima, new Maxima, etc. Available as a FWD with AWD option.

The FX45 (and FX35 if you get the VQ35DE) is based off the advanced FM platform as the new Skyline (G35), Z and Stagea. Available as a RWD with AWD option.

Completely different handling characteristics ... I am goo goo gaa gaa over the FX one personally. FX35's price is not too bad but once you start throwing the options, it starts getting upsetting.

I thought I was the only one who liked the FX. The Murano is ugly.

The Murano is actually marketed as a wagon... And if you look in it thats exactly what it is... The interior is the same (if not smaller) size as my 5th gen max.. Its not a big roomy SUV although it looks it on the outside... The space in back if you have 4 people seated is laughable.... I'd actually go as far as to say my maximas trunk may fit the same amount of stuff in it.. Its like a car but with SUV handling and ride height... I still like them a lot and if I was in the market I'd go for it because its quite sporty for its looks...

They look cool, and can't be too slow since they have VQ. But boy, do you really want to buy the first generation of a Nissan product? Their track record recently isn't great...

my good friend drives a Murana, and he let me take it out one night...It drives real smooth, and the new gearless transmission is awesome. It's strange driving a car that never shifts. It has good power (doesn't really compare to a max, but feels strong) and the interior is extremely nice. Although the interior is nice, everyone is right, it is reall small compared to a max. People in the back seat will feel cramped
