No 18x8 Enkei RS6's?

Due to an ongoing customer service issue with a wheel/tire dealer, I now have the opportunity to trade my 18x8 Konig Tantrums for 18-inch Enkei RS6's. Problem is, the dealer says that the RS6's don't come in an 8-inch width for the Maxima, only 7 inch. Can anybody confirm or deny this?

Yep, they're only made in 18X7 and you don't want them if you plan to use a nice high performance tire. I have the 18X7 Enkei RS-6 and I needed a good all season tire. I settled on the Sumitomo HTR+ in 225/40/18 because that's the closest to being in-spec as you'll get with a 18X7 rim, but you're still out-of-spec by .5 inches. Your typical 18 inch tire is made for 7.5"-9" rim widths. I've been using 225/40/18 and 235/40/18s on my 18X7s for a year and a half, no problems, but I drive pretty carefully.

If you can afford it, check out some of the nicer lightweight high end wheels that Enkei makes, but check because some are available in 18X7.5 and 18X8.

Thanks Tanman!

Unfortunately, I can only trade for the RS6's (looong story).
I'll probably just keep the Tantrums then.

Exxxcellent, another copy-cat averted. Soon I'll be the only 5th gen with Enkei RS-6s, muhahahahahha!

Just kidding. They are a nice looking rim, they look sort of like the Volk LE37T or SE37. I think 6 spoke is best for the Maxima. If only they were made in 18X8 sizes.

RS6 comes in 18x7.5, which is fine for a "performance" tire. I was running 235/40/18 kuhmos with no problems...tell your dealer to stop ****ing you over.

Didn't you mash up one of those rims nice and crushed? Time to get some new rims .

Just kidding, I'm trading in the Maxima and selling the RS-6s by summer. My Subaru WRX STi will get factory lightweight BBS rims.
