Hi Guys,

I do sit a lot on my driver's seat, and I really mean "long trips", 400+ miles at that. As you might have known, the seats from the 4th gen is not really supportive and comfy over a long period of time, and I want to change it.

The first candidate is Sparco Torinos, but I don't want them since they have miniscule lumbar support (if any at all, did not try the one with the inflatable lumbar though), plus, they are not THAT comfortable.

The next candidate is the seats from 5th gen....and this one is a mixed results (I always got Maxima 2k2/2k3 from Hertz), but they are not THAT comfy either.

Now, I did seat on the G35 coupe/350z seats (driver side and passenger side), and they are pretty comfy and supportive.

The question is, can install the seats from these cars using the factory mounting points? Will the power cable hook up with the seats connection like a plug and play device, or splicing/rewiring is needed?

For those who have looked the mounting points on a 4th Gen Maxima and G35 coupe/350z, your input is greatly appreciated. I am pretty darn sure that the mounting points of the 4th gen and 5th gen is similar, and this is why I posted this thread on the general forum.

Did you ever consider the 300zx seats?? They're pretty supportive and comfortable too. I called around and found out that you can have a leather seat for around $225 used. I thought of doing a conversion too, because I spent a lot of time driving in my max. However, I don't have leather and finding a cloth 300zx seat is very hard, because I think most of them came in leather. I don't know anything about the mounting points and the harnesses of the 300zx seats. But, I think that's not a big problem. Just use the stock mounting bracket and bolt it to the new seat.
