4th gen seats: Replace with 350z or G35?
a couple of suggestions... the most comfortable seat i've sat in... 95 acura legend... they fit my body perfectly and are adjustable in every postion you could ever think of... the only down side.. they are rather large, therefore i'm thinking they are very heavy. my second choice... on my 1990 supra... oh man, these are nice too and very very supportive. as well as being supportive, they are extremely strong... one of the reasons i'm still alive.

I installed black perforated leather 96 Prelude VTEC seats in my 96 Maxima a couple years ago. Too bad I don't have pics anymore. The Prelude seats were EXTREMELY bolstered and look exactly like the seats out of a mid 90s 911. I took them out, sold them, and bought a Leatherseats.com kit and I'm very happy. The Prelude seats would have blended in perfectly if I would have had black leather throughout my whole interior at the time (charcoal cloth at the time). They looked completely stock and fit with very little work being done to the Prelude brackets. They bolted into factory locations.

Dave
Dave B. and others,
Thanks for your suggestions. I actually went down to Nissan dealership and compare the seats of Sentra Spec V and 350z right off the lot. You guys are correct, the seats of Spec V is definitely better than the 350z, although they do not "look" comfortable.
Dave, about the seat from Prelude, my gf's brother has a 96 Prelude Si with bucket seats. I assume they are the same with the leather ones you install, and I could say that they are very supportive. However, they don't have shoulder holder (only kidney/waist holder) so this might not be a good seat to upgrade to what I was expecting (but like you stated, they are easy to swap).
The Sentra Spec V seat has different mounting bolts, so a straight swap would not be possible. I guess there are two things to do here:
1. Get the Gen.4 mounting brackets from the driver's seat w/slider (I don't think Spec V seats have power option) and buy a Spec V driver seat.
2. Compare those two and see if : (a) we could modify the mounting bracket of Spec V seat to fit the Gen.4 mounting holes; or (b) we could mount the Sentra Spec V seats to the slider off Gen. 4 bracket.
What do you think, guys?
I don't think I would swap the passenger side since I don't think my passengers want to sit up straight.
Let me know,
Armand
