Id like to mount my shift light(that i dont have yet, hehe) like it is in that pic. I think that looks really cool. Where do you guys have your shift light mounted. I want it in a placei can see well, and thought of right there. Maybe that would only look cool with some gauges there (i love how that looks, good thing i dont have NOS...damnit!)
Is http://harlan.sketchy.net/ the best place for a shift light?
Thanks!

Baaah, shift lights suck. My have one if you've got a tach and good ears? My female friend's dad's old GMC Sonoma had no tach, but a shift light. Drove me crazy.

When I had my '95, I installed it in the 12 volt outlet hole at the base of the center console. On my '01 it's going to be between the steering wheel and the gauges(little black shelf). The light is full programable to any rpm. With all other shift lights you don't get that kind of adjustability. The light is very easy to install. One wire is ground, one is power and the other is connected to PIN 1 of the ECU. The light reads pulse or a constant voltage, set the light to pulse. Please e-mail if you have any install questions.

It's a must have for any 5-speed owner.

Yep, I installed it right where the dashboard and A-pillar meet. Jeff and myelf both can attest that this is by far the best shiftlight for the money and this sucker is bright. As long as it's aimed towards your eye, you will easily see it.

I've got mine setup to go off at 5900 rpms. By the time I react, I'm closer to 6100rpms (6300-6400 indicated on the tach). You'll also find out your tach is off by 200-300rpms (reads high).

This is definately a good mod if you plan on racing both on the track and road coarse if you have a 5 speed. It allows you to keep your eyes on the road and off the dash.
