Has there been an increase in 'enrollment' on the .org?

Is it just me, or are there a lot of new guys here on the .org? It seems like I have seen a lot of "Newbie" and "I finally posted something" under peoples names.
What is causing this surge in 'enrollment' here?
In any case, welcome aboard people.

Probably because you have to sign up to be able to view alot of the site. People just figure that they signed up they might as well post something. Thats my own philosophy for that.

It sounds like you have your work cut out for you. Let me know if you need an apprentice.

Sometimes "Newbie" doesn't necessarily mean newbie.

Maybe your status should reflect how much time you’ve been on .org, rather then if you’re a post *****..

thats true, but the i'm pretty sure the rough majority of the people that have made a new account is because they lost their old password

I've been visiting maxima.org since 1998, although I may not post a lot of messages and had to create a new account back on 2001 b/c I lost my password. I agree that "Newbie" doesn't necessarily mean newbie...
