Engine Swaps for a 4th gen

do u think it would be possible to drop a skyline rb26 engine and tranny or a silvia s15 into a 4th gen max

would the six speed tranny be possible too...because the JDM spec is a right hand drive and the USDM max is left..do u think that would make any difference

do they make a FWD rb?? with the silvia it wont bc the 6 speed is setup to transfer the engine power to the rear wheels

Only swap I'll ever try on my Maxima is with another 4th gen. Might try a 5th gen, but I don't if it mounts in properly...hood might not close afterwards.

If you're interested in a S15, just buy a 95-98 240SX. The motor is cheap and the swap is relatively easy.

You just drop in the whole setup just like it is and power one wheel. That way you only need one slick when you go to the track.

all you guys have done ***** swaps...come talk to me once you've tucked a Hemi or two in your Max... my mountain bike has a VK45DETT and 21 speeds to boot
