At $1.90 for a gallon of gas, I'd opt for the manual, it save a little more gas than the auto, the price for a manual is cheaper than the auto, and to be funny, AAMCO will love to have your automatic trannys to work on; cost more to repair an auto than a manual....

Your dad can be right, The only way to know is to Look at the oil of the Car if its black that means the car is abused, Also youy can get the car checked at a Mechanic. Most of the time people with stick drive like grannys untill its time to let the beast loose. Gas is Expensive and hard to comeby these days

You can't judge the condition of a car by its oil color. Different motor oils change color just from normal driving.
