Which is better Nitto or Yokohama

Alright I tried to use the search button, but for some reason it has been disabled. I asked a similar question early this year but it seems that the Nitto's have caught my attention, when i was about to go for the Yokohama's. But here is my question, which tire seems to be better Yokohama AVS ES100's or Nitto NT 555 Extreme Performance Tires. The size im looking at is 235 45 17in. Tirerack seem to have decent info on Yokohamas but Tirerack doesn't seem to sell Nitto's. But Discount tire does, but the info they have for the Nitto im looking at is very vague and it needs more information about it. Thanks in advance.

I see a lot of people with 18" in nitto 555's, but not too many with smaller rims. Lots of people have the yoko's.. sticky tire. I have the older version of the yoko's you describe and I love em.

I have Nittos and I think they suck. I should've gone with another brand but I didn't have the cash. Go with the Yokos.

I guess it depends on the area that you live in but I do love my Nitto NT555's.

I got some ZR 17s, cost me $109 a tire.... V patterned. But I like the ones with the tread pattern that slants from the inside and one tread going around the tire. If I knew what kind they are I'd tell you. Those damned things are expensive! Ballers on a Budget like me shave to stick with whats affordable. You guys think I can get some Pirelli ZR rated, low profile tires for cheap when I get to Germany? I know this isn't the discussion between the Nittos and the Yokahamas, btu how are the Pirellis compared to those in price and performance?

I've had both, and even mixed and matched them (Yokohama ES100s on the fronts and Nitto NT555s on the rears).

When I had Nittos on all 4 wheels, they worked ok in dry conditions, nothing spectacular. In the rain they sucked, especially going through any size puddle of water.

The Yokohamas were nicer overall. Good feel in dry conditions, good in wet conditions too. In fact, with the Yok's up front and the Nitto's in the rear, I could feel the back end of the car slip sometimes in wet weather. The Nittos were about 1.5 years older, but still had 75% tread.

Remember though, the ES100 is strictly a summer tire. I don't know what the Nittos are rated as, probably summer tires too, but they worked fine when it got cold (not snowy or icy, just cold temperatures). The Yok's didn't perform as well when it got cold, definitely made for warm weather use.
