Interesting find with ACT clutch...
Tonight I was looking at an ACT clutch another .Org member just recieved when I saw something interesting... Right on the clutch disc friction material, was the words 'EXEDY' printed in white letters. Since they use remanufactured OEM pressure plates, makes me wonder who makes there clutch disc...

Exedy clutches
So the "OEM" replacement Exedy compares how to their Stage 1 or the ACT Street in terms of wear and grab?

The ACT heavy duty street clutch disk is a MODIFIED STOCK unit, so if Exedy makes the stocker, they make the ACT unit. The modification ACT does to this unit is they replace the original springs with stiffer ones.

Re: Exedy clutches
