I noticed recently that my car has been crunching entering 3rd gear recently. I switched gear oil not very long ago cos I had a crack on my switch sensor into the tranny and so had to drain the oil. I noticed after that oil change the shifting was not quite so smooth. Now my car tends to crunch 3rd gear on a hard pull. Could my synchros be starting to go?

 

What oil did you put in?

 

I put in Valvoline 80-90 Synthetic blend. It was he only thing they had left. I put Mobil 1 in before the leak and it seemed better. I should have just waited till the next day to buy it elsewhere

Any recommendations?
