Does anyone know how interchangeability there is between a European Maxima QX and an U.S. Maxima GXE ? To a degree they appear to be the same basic car, although the engines are not the same (QX has 3.0 V6 Auto and 2.0 V6 Auto/5spd). I was wondering about suspension components, primarily sway bars and shocks.

 

Check the chassis code; 5th Gen=A33, 4th Gen=A32, etc. If they are the same, they should be interchangeable.

 

Figures, all the parts seem to be for an A32, and of course I have a 5th-Gen. Just like in the U.S., there are TONS of parts for 4th-Gen, but a very limited number for 5th-Gen. I thought I was lucky when I bought my 2000 GXE, as I had been for a 1999 SE. Maybe I wasn't as lucky as I thought. Oh, well, Any Max in better than None.

 

What are you looking for? There are plenty of suspension parts for the A33 chassis. Strut tower braces, sway bars, springs, struts, coilovers...
