turbo maxima VET (emissions) test, PASSED!

So every year in louisville, we have to take the vet test. I've been dreading it, but knew i only have till the end of the month to do it, and just got the car running yesterday with the new custom tranny. The test is a combination of a bunch of junk, they do the tailpipe-insert check and all that stuff, I dont know what all haha i can get the paper later...

I went today for humor, knowing that i would fail, but just to see how badly and to laugh haha... the place was extremely loud when they put my car on the rollers and wound it up, but to my surprise, with NO MUFFLER, just a highflow-cat and 3" pipe, I PASSED!!! Now granted I got a 213 when the most you can get is a 220, i still passed haha.. for reference, without the turbo I got an 11. haha

now i did fail 1 of 8 parts haha, the stupidest thing ever, my gas cap doesnt seal properly. booo haha

anyways, i know many people were interested to hear if a turbo max could pass.. and i did.

Well, you know what that means, Hal. I'll be coming by this summer to get my turbo installed. We'll get together and figure out a good date for the both of us. I called some friends in Germany to make sure it'll pass their inspection, and they said as long as it can pass the ones in the states, the Turbo's no problem. So looks like I'll have turbo soon! Can't wait. I'll get with you later, Hal.

I believe the emissions limits in Cali are lower than the other states. Plus I think you would have to seek CARB approval on the turbo as well. I am VERY interested in getting one. But I want to see if it passes Cali emissions testing.

I thought that Cali emissions were the strictest out there. In the world, even. If you passed Cali emissions, you passed any emissions.

I think he meant other states get a higher margin to pass. Basically, in Cali each test has a lower limit #, meaning it's harder to pass it since the number for that particular gas (say CO or something) is small.
