People with cut springs

I have a pretty uneven drop, and now that i know my car has settled all the way i'd like to try and even it. I have maxspeeds and I'm looking to cut a coil or so off the rear to even it out. Anyone know how much lower the rear will be with 1 coil cut? Simple logical would be about the width of a coil...1/2 inch..(cutting the top progressive one) since they all rest on top of each other but would like to get an extact number if possible. Also is it possible to cut half a coil or do I have to cut an entire one.

I think removing one coil would result to a 1/2" suspension travel reduction but would result to maybe twice that on the over all drop of the car due to the suspension geometry.

Well i cut a coil off and its still not even. If I cut another full coil it's going to lower the rear too much. Anyone know if it's possible to cut half or part of a coil. maybe 90-180 degrees of a coil rather than the full 360?
