search isn't working for me....

what is exaust leak exactly? reason why i ask is b/c after i got the y pipe and racing pipe installed i have actually lost power..... my 1/4 mile is off by 1 sec atleast

so do u lose power if u have exaust leak? if so how do u test for sure if u have exaust leak or not.... b/c the gasket b/t the y pipe, racing pipe, and b pipe don't look like it's fitting well.... might need to get new gasket....

 

If you have a leak exhaust gasses are getting out at the joints between the pipes.

Jack up the car, get under there, and have someone start the car and rev the engine. Get near each joint and feel for gas escaping. Careful, because it will get very hot!

 

so if u do have the leak... does that make u lose power?

 

It very well could. I had one that I felt was costing me power...although I never dynoed or anything.
