Another oil report - mobil 1 supersyn, taken after 5 dyno runs

Re: Another oil report - mobil 1 supersyn, taken after 5 dyno runs
Was there something with this sample you were trying to prove with the S/C or something?
Blackstone's comments don't really matter, as the oil wasn't in use long enough to make sound conclusions.
I don't mind getting another analysis to put up, I'm just not sure it was of any benefit to you on such a short interval.

I am looking for coolant and other excessive metal wear.

If something catastrophic occurred you would know it. The best thing you could do is run consistent 4k intervals and track wear metals. If something is excessively wearing, you'll know it by the second or third subsequent interval.

I will return to run consistent 4k drain intervals from now on.

LEDs can be a good thing too. That's how I know my VI is always working (unlike everyone else)

Using the RSM and a relay would probably lead to the same problems (even though in theory they should all work just fine).

That wasn't actually the problem. Most people are using Harlan or modified MSD Rpm switches, but for some reason the relay wasn't activating correctly. Even if the rpm switch was activated the VI wasn't always doing the same. Granted some people did have problems with Harlan switches.

I also keep an eye on the EGT....usually when the pump is not working or the FMU is not activated at very low boost(1 psi), it raises really fast.
compression test this weekend if I have time
