Oil Filters: Mobil 1 or Fram X2?

Which do you guys prefer? They both cost the same at Murray's. ($9.99)I bought a Mobil 1 for my next oil change. I use standard Mobil 5W-30 Drive Clean oil by the way, because I can't afford Mobil 1.

The Mobil 1 filter would be my choice over the Fram.

If money is a factor, the Supertech filters deliver a pretty good bang for the buck.

consider using OEM...

I am about to order 6 OEM filters + copper washers for $34.25 shipped... haha these should last me a while!

Yes, actually. It's surprising to think about, but the Supertech line has held up really well in the analysis results. They are manufactured by Champion Labs, the same company who makes the Bosch, STP and Mobil 1 filters.

The highest octane I've seen around here is 93... but anyways, I use OEM, think I payed 6 bucks for it last time I changed my oil. Out of the two I would go with Mobil 1.

Rumors are flying around that SuperTechs are no longer Champion made.

I don't recommend any SuperTech filter for any VQ engine application.

Since you are using conventional oil, I would recommend the Bosch 3323 filter for $5.50 at AutoZone.

Since cost is an issue, you could pick up a SuperTech filter (as mentioned earlier) while you are shopping in the automotive section for Mobil dino juice at WalMart to save $$$.

I vote for Nissan OEM as well. $4 each and better than the $10 filters.
