HELP!! stripped strut nut...

argh! freaking, nothing ever goes right. Well, haha this bolt was already stripped but I attempted to remove the bolt again. We used 14mm 12-point, 14mm 6-point, tried hammering a 13mm 12-point but coudln't get it in.

What's a good method of removing this stupid bolt?? Thanks guys. I am plannin on installing my FSTB, change brake pads (raybestos QS), paint calipers, rotate tires, blah blah blah...

craftsman bolt-out kit

OR, try a vice grip, or there's this thing called nut-breaker you can get at the hardware store.

make sure you don't over torque that nut again! 35lbs..

o yeah, 1 more thing... about those 14mm nuts. Can I get the exact ones at a automotive store? I already went out and bought one from nissan but it freakin cost 1.70 per bolt. I want brand new ones for all of em because when I torqued the others back to 30lb... a couple of the other bolts' corners started to shave off.

I know that Pep Boys carries them. Autozone, NAPA, and Advanced Auto may carry them, but I do not know. Did you finally get the bolt off?

Get a pick, put it an angle into the nut, and hammer it in there...after, just hammer it to loosen, and then pull it off...those strut mount bolts were a biznatch....had to buy new ones from the dealer as well....$11.xx for all 6 ...i ordered em 3 months ago, still havent gotten my a$$ down there to pick em up
