RacerX Motorsports ?

Anyone know anything about them, or been sponsered by them. They called me yesterday and offered a $10,000 sponsership for my "other" car (see sig). Seems like a good deal, but I have no clue what's up with it. They are sending me a package in the next couple weeks, so I will find out I suppose.

A buddy of mine does the vinyl graphics for them and he said that people pay like $60 or $80 bucks and they get a windowshield banner, 2 side stickers and then they get huge discount prices on parts they order through is place. I may have this completely wrong but that is what I gathered from what he told me

No, I think you are correct, the guy I talked to stated that for 79 dollars, you get a "sponsership package" with a t-shirt and stickers, 50% off all parts (from where?), free shipping, and the 10 grand.

It just seems like there is some catch, I mean I am willing to go to shows and stuff, but 10 grand is a lot of money to give away, especially never seeing my car (I did not send pics).

I guess I will be the guinea pig , and see what happens. If works out great, if not, oh well it was 80 bucks. The money would be nice, beng that I plan to spend at least that much in the next few months.

Maybe you pay your money and then you get to 50% off on all purchases until you hit a 10,000 dollar limit.

Here is how I think it works. Each of the people are paying him $79 for a one year membership and then they get 50% off of parts. So they are getting wholesale price so the guy from racer x gets $79 per person and the person get's wholesales prices. so then lets say this guy gets 3,000 people to sign up for this for one year that is 3000 x $79 = 237,000 that guys makes. He pays you 10,000 to go to shows and they see the racer x stuff on your car and lets say he gets 125 more people per show he gets his money back from sponsering you. I know these figures are exaggerated but just showing you how it works. My friend said this is on the up and up and the guy always pays him and has never screwed him. That is what I gather from this whole thing.

I did not here from them for 3-4 weeks. I think it also depends on where you live and low many cars they have sponsored around yuor area.

It sounds pretty legit, they "say" they have $500,000 to give away. I will let you guys know how it goes.

hmmm, I have a mustang that needs some sponsering, and $10,000 would more than cover a new 347 stroker for it.

cant wait to hear more about it.
