CEL sensitivity question.
CEL sensitivity question.
A few months back, the CEL came on and the code was for the front O2 sensor. As gas prices came down, I resumed filling my car with 93 octane gas and consequently, the CEL turned off.
My question is, just because me CEL is off, does this mean that the O2 sensor DOESN'T need to be changed?
Thanks..

Re: Re: CEL sensitivity question.
Your CEL light will turn itself off after a certain amount of cycles (I believe about 50), but the codes will be stored in the ECU until you reset it. Have you checked or reset your ECU recently? That will confirm whether or not there is a problem with the car.
