stereo on via alarm remote
stereo on via alarm remote
Ok, i have two channels left to play with on my alarm system, id like to set one channel up too turn on my sound system, anybody done this before and already have relay schematics?? im gonna be thinkin about it, but if any of you know this stuff really well please post your schematics...also, any ideas on somthin different I could do with my third channel, ofcourse theres, windows/sunroof,trunk pop,heated seats and car start, but id like some other ideas...i cant think of anything..

as for the stero on and off.... i don't see why not..... but can't help u on how to do it since i had it done by professional installer in town....

I'm not sure if either of these would work, but maybe use a latching relay on either the +ACC lead of your stereo and hook that to an auxillary channel, or use the ACC lead of your ignition switch. To me, the first option would probably be better.
Aux Channel -> Latching Relay Circuit -> +ACC lead.
I don't know how good you are at actual circuit construction but you could also integrate a timer of some sort so you wouldn't leave the stereo on too long and kill the battery.
