Face it, autos just suck on the highway. On the track, the auto might have a chance, but not on the highway. When I had the SC on my '96 auto, on the street, it was a beast. However, on the highway, it was very disappointing.

Sprint with bolt-ons I do believe you can outrun a 2k2 manual. bottom-line is it comes down to the drivers, the cars are close and I am done with this.

It doesn't matter to me anymore. Maybe 8 months ago I would have argued till pigs fly but its retarded now. 02 autos are quicker at the track b/c of **** load more tq down low. I believe it would be a good race from a roll but then again everyone says the 3rd gear is tall but if your trapping 93 and a 4th gen trapping 93 that means the 4th gen is not pulling on the 02 from a roll correct. Also after the dead spot from 80-90 the 02 auto halls ***** on the highway therefor the advantage is gone again for the 4th gen.

Everyone whoops on dmbmaxima. And by the time you and I ever get the chance to race I'll have too many bolt-on's to remove on the spot. I'll still gladly race ya.

Let's end this,

Fastest 4th gen NA manual is nealoc 13.9@99

fastest 2k2 auto NA is Blu 13.7@98.

Its all about traction, remember traps don't mean jack, spinning don't win races, hooking up does.

Now would you please drive through......

are you kidding me? i know single turbo supra's that will loose to matt at the track.. so what does that prove?

To the best of my knowledge Neal has never run Matt head to head so how can you jump to this conclusion? And Neal has the JWT ECU now also. Are you reeeeeeeeeaaally sure about that?

Close to 300lb for a 4th Gen manual vs a 5th Gen auto, and that's not including the 256lb of extra inertial drag from the 17" rims.

Traction is all about it, Tony chang ran 14.5 at 104, traps don't mean crap if you can't put it on the ground

Oh and if you wanna talk about trannies, fastest auto is 12.2, that's just spraying, Don't bring Mardi into this his car is not fair or is it legal(don't think) hehe

Sprite it always is fun talking with you, I would so lose to your car, mine runs 15.5 stock Oh yeah and we have the fastest trapping 4th gen here in DC area, requin6, Not neal

hopefully it gets beat before next year or I will beat it.

if you spin your traps will be higher. Neal ran a 13.999@97.2 1.9 60'. I ran a 13.79@98.4 2.06 60'. One run I spun 13.84 @ 99.97 2.15 60'

we are comparing times here not actual runs and as I said what if the 5th gen is running on light rims as does neal?

Well when a 4th gen manual breaks blu's time then you will have something to talk about. Till then the facts stand, his car is faster, so its over.

again? when does 1/4 mile time = faster?

i thought faster meant who could get to their top speed quicker?

again i ask.. how many people run from a dead stop these days? and will blu have his slicks at the stop light

A maxima tops out at ~145 anyway, drag limited so who cares

where are you gonna run top speeds anyway? On the highway, that shows a nice level of safety, thanks for endangering others.

From a dead stop, I think matt would take 4th gens

don't need them I will still own any 4th gen off the line and I will be in VA the 25th and 26th to prove it. From a roll I would be interested to see how much Requin pulls on me if he is willing to make a run and comes to the meet. My best to date is a 14.21 @ 98.2 with a 2.29 60' on street tires. Best trap to date is 99.97 spinning

edit left out *how much*
