chrome rims

Hey. I've got a pebble beige 1995 max, and I am about to buy new rims to replace my sexy stock honeycomb rims ;-)
I need help from my people on the org. I was looking at some chrome rims by Alba. The model of the rim is Blaze. I think they're pretty hot, but someone told me they think chrome rims only looks good on black cars. If anyone has any suggestions for rims (I would prefer chrome to racing rims) that you think would look really good on my car, please let me know. Thanks!

I think chrome wheels can look good on any color car. However you did ask for an opinion so I will post mine. I think 90% of chrome wheels on the market do not suite our cars, and Alba Blazes definitely fit in that category. To me, any wheel that masks over 50% of the brake assembley is "ghetto". There are plenty of nice thing 5 and 6-spoke chrome/polished wheels which look great on the Maxima. For example, thebigsadler has 19" polished wheels, and they look great.

: Those really won't look good on a 4th gen, IMO. Polished/clearcoated aluminum is much more appropriate for the sports sedan look of the 4th gen. Chrome is more suited for an all out luxury car/truck. Oh, if you aren't lowered yet... get that done first, otherwise your car will just look worse after getting rims.

So what would you recommend? I really like the fact that when you are in the city, chrome wheels reflect the city lights at night and stuff. Thats why I like chrome. I don't do a lot of racing, I just chill more, so that's why I was aiming toward chrome/polished. If you guys have any reccomendations of chome/polished rims or just regular silver alloy rims, that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Check out the Evo5s on tirerack, they have a nice finish and will definatly reflect light because of the clearcoat. They come in chrome also.

let me change that, the chrome rims that look like they belong on SUV's look crappy on cream maximas, they look ok on black. (don't worry thai - your rims are hot!)

The last pix you posted are MM evo 5's there not chrome there polished silver but if you saw them spinning toward you its pretty hard to tell. I have them in 19's and love um, everyone on here will say there played out but its because its and online community. Ive never seen these on any other car, there just popular on this site.

Hey,Im pretty sure those chrome rims on that 5th gen. are the Gianelle 5 Twin. They're pretty cool lookin. I looked at those b4 i got mine... I have 18x8.5 Giovanna Essens,i think they look good on my 3rd gen. Ive gotten plenty of complements on them too. Ill prob keep 'em if I get a 5th gen also. Not sure how they would look on a 4th gen tho. Never pictured it.

Bank or Lexo are the only two Alba ones I like.

The ones you posted are a little too "rounded" for me, edge-wise. Looks kinda soft.

I'm sure there are some decent chromies. I'm just not a fan generally.

Put them on a nice dropped S600 and it's a different story
