annoying sound at start up. help!
whenever i start my car, it makes a very annoying screeching noise that lasts for about a minute and then stops. It happens especially badly when it is cold in the morning and I start it. What the hell? It's really embarrassing when i'm trying to act all cool and show off my remote start or whatever, and my car turns on and it's like SCREEEEEEEEEEECH! Any suggestions? Thanks lol

you will need a 15 mm IIRC socket and long extension 1/2 inch preferably and socket wrench with u-joint,
make CERTAIN you LOOSEN the center nut on tensioner pulley from underneath FIRST....then fix the socket to the adjuster and change teh tension in intervals, making crtain you tighten the center nut on tensioner pulley before you start it back up.
I do not remember the size of box wrench you will need for the center nut on the tensioner pulley...but you may as wel need to pull back or remove the plastic covers under the oil filter to be able to see up in the area of the pulley.

You need to loosen the idler...you're see a brass colored bolt/nut looking thing right next to the engine (left side of the car if you're looking at your car from the front), pointing straight downwards, right over the idler. Loosen it and the belt will be looser, but not able to come off just yet.

From below, Loosen the nut on the idler pulley, then push upward on it and the belts will easily come out.
