Exedy performace clutch

Just curious if anyone has this on their car or has had any experience with this clutch in the past. I really am interested in the group deal going on right now, but i'm pretty skeptical about buying a clutch that I've never heard any reviews of.

I don't know anyone that has the performance exedy on their maxima. EricDWong has the stock replacement exedy on his, but it's without increased clamping force. I do know lots of people who have them on other vehicles however, such as a 12 second GSR and an 11 second eclipse, and they like them. It is the clutch I am going with when it's time to replace the stock one.

they make super performance clutch. Just make sure your don't get the stock replacement(stage 1).. I hear it's not all that great. stock one is better i've heard.

Wait so stage 1 IS stock replacement?

The clutch being sold in the GD is Stage 1, and is said to have something like 36% clamping increase over stock.

No, i'm pretty sure that the one sold in the Group Deal is a performance clutch and NOT the stock replacement. Its clamping force is similar to ACT (which is the only other clutch i'm considering). I'm just supprised how so many people are going in on this deal when they have no idea how the clutch is going to perform or last. The only thing that catches my interest is the low price and that exedy has an ok rep. for making clutches.

I personally went in on it for a couple reasons

1) price 2) the performance of their clutches in other cars is great 3) good company rep 4) other option is ACT and as many satisfied stories I hear there's also the not-so-satisfied ones (and also the stories of using EXEDY components) 5) it's not Centerforce

uh oh... what's wrong w/ centerforce??

My centerforce clutch (came w/ the car when bought it) has about 60k miles on it... and it's starting to slip!! Albeit I was a newbie to the stick, but I wasn't THAT bad. O well, i'll change the clutch anyways because my ghetto diffy bearings went as well
