motor mount revisited

I've been thinking about my mounts recently and haven't been convinced that HomeDepot's polyurethane is the most effective filler. Then I started thinking about epoxy. HomeDepot has a lotta that!

Are there any opinions to epoxy? Pro/cons? Any specific kind I should be looking for? What's more important, high tensile strength or high shear strength?

Thanx!

Jae

3M Window Weld is you best bet from Advance Auto Parts. It dries super quick and is strong.

hey, thanx for digging this up. I was looking at those weld stuff @ the autopart store and the employee couldn't tell me anything about them. I will give them a try and report. Have you tried it yet?
Thanx dood!

Do not use an epoxy. Some epoxies will attack rubber.
