Question for those with y-pipes.....
Yeah, I had it professionally installed.. But not by a major auto chain like pepboys or anything. Just a local shop. Wasn't even a performance shop. Just make sure you get good directions and give it to them.

do it yourself
If you have wrenches, extensions, and pivot joints, then do it yourself. It is really easy, took me about an hour, but you have to have the right tools.

I had it installed at a local MIDAS shop...It was pretty easy...They do alot of exhuast work so they knew exactly what to do...I even got to watch...Fernando Cuco

I installed it myself. The reason why was that i rather save my self some money instead of paying some else to do it. If you can unbolt a few bolts then your done. Instead of paying some one else to do it, you can buy stuff with the money you saved such as pedals. oh yeah, i just bought some Razo carbon fiber pedals for 65 bucks. I dont want them anymore and hasnt been installed, wanna buy? I installed the Cattman Y pipe, there are only 3 screws which are kinda hard but can be acomplished with a pivot joint and one extention. If you have a hard time, email me and i can help you with any questions you have about installing the y pipe. sorry to repeat myself..lol
i put mine on yesterday
but i put my car on a rack and did it. its a lot easier to do if your standing up. hope u have long *** extensions and buy a pivot piece couple nuts are tricky to get too. stock y pipe was a bi@ch to get off but putting the stillen one toke 5 min. i love tha results.

funny, i dont rmemeber the Y-pipe having any screws.
Anyways, a professional shop is prolly gonna do about the same job as an average mechanic wiht some knowledge. There are 3 bolts on each manifold. You should prolly soak with lub first and 2 bolts on the Cat and i think there was a bracket to disconnect too. have some extensions and some swivel sockets would help also.
