A few Questions about Tranny fluid change.
I bought mine recently, its a 95 with 70K and would like to put in Redline mt90 in. I am not sure what the guy that owned before me had in it or if it has ever been changed at all. So I should just plan on changing it as if it has the non synthetic variety and 5 quarts of redline? So I should empty the fluid thats in it and run a change of generic through it before going to synthetic? Redline runs for what $7 - $8 so that would be about $40 and generic tranny fluid cost what about $5 bucks a quart so $25, so the job cost about $65 bucks? Id like to do it tomorrow, is Redline available at a place like Advance autoparts or Autozone? About how long will it take me?
Thanks

Redline mt90 is only available through authorized dealers like Amsoil products. Changing gear oil is not hard, just messy.
Here the homepage and an internet dealer.

It didn't show anthing about flushing it with some generic tranny fluid before switching to synthetic, I read about that in another thread. Did you do that?

They have it at Monument auto parts here in California, but I don't know about other auto parts stores.

I went to all a the regular parts stores, Advancae, Autozone and Pep Boys..no luck. So I tryed the is little ghetto performance shop and they did'nt have it either so I guess I'll order it off the web. Anyone know where I can get the best price or free shipping or sumpin?

Email me for Amsoil.
I wouldn't bother with a generic flush for a manual transmission, just make sure the old gear oil is hot before you drain it.
