Hail Storm Caressing MY car

As I type this, there's a damn hailstorm outside my workplace. I'm praying that the hail won't damage my car. OMG, this sucks so bad. Boy, I hope my insurance covers this. Should my car happen to be damaged, what is an approximate estimate on bodywork?

Re: Hail Storm Caressing MY car

I know how you feel. About a year ago I had just pulled out of my driveway when it hit. There was nothing I could do but sit in the car while the hail pounded away for about 10 min. It was horrible, had about 50-60 dents all over it. The paint shop told me it would have to be repainted for $2,000 but insurance will cover it.

Hmmm, its worse than I thought then. I have insurance on the car but I'm not sure if I'm covered for hail damage. I'm pretty sure I'm not. Man this sucks. I just finished checking the car a while back. There's a couple of dings. Can these be taking out without having to repaint the car? I thought maybe the dings could be taken out without it having to be repainted. And Sprint, I would have lied down on the car but I had to make sure the kids were safe. I work in an elementary.

Yeah, I can just picture Sprint now while the hail is falling down on his car... "Dammit son, you're not sprawled out on the hood correctly."

Well, I guess I shouldn't be crying really. I've driven around town and apparently I didn't get the worst part of the hail storm. As I drove home, I saw a couple of cars that looked like they had gotten beaten with a bat. I feel sorry for my friend. His '02 Eclipse is pretty much gone. He said a piece of ice the size of a large orange completely tore a hole through his roof.
