I love and respect the IS3 but hate these stories.

Well the guy does have a point. The IS300 owns the Maxima in cornering. Even with handling mods, the Maxima is no match for the IS300.

I owned an L-tuned IS300 at the last autocross I went to, and he was a professional driver, and I am an amateur. It had 18 inch wheels and sticky rubber and other mods like intake, header, exhaust. I also tied with an E36 M3 coupe, with race rubber. A maxima with mods can handle pretty well.

Like I tell everyone, the best mod for any car is a GOOD DRIVER.

The driver can make a car that much better.

He was a professional driver, yet you owned him although you're an amateur? That doesn't make sense. Must not be much of a professional.

That means that my car out-handled and out-powered his car, and the fact that he was a better driver than me didn't matter. I am not saying that I am a bad driver, but he was better. My car made up for the difference.

Don't worry guys, I HATE the rear suspension of the Maxima!
