Thanx dave i will greatly appreciate that. my fone otherwise is working. the upper closing flip part connects with a connector with the main base and its fairly easy to put it back together if i can just find the upper closing part

how old is your phone, they usually come with a one year warranty. call up nextel and just tell them that your screen isnt working, after some trouble shooting they'll eventually give up and offer a replacement. or if that doesnt work, purchase the insurance plan (usually about 4-5 bucks) and then call them up like a month later and pay the deductable, and boom - new phone

Basically, this would be insurance fraud.

LCD replacement is $125.00 no questions asked. With insurance you would need to be able to prove that there has been damage to the phone. Dropped, run over smashed etc.

When a claim is made, if they receive the phone and can tell it was taken part, which they will be able to do. You will be billed for replacement cost of a new unit.

I had a guy come into my office last week that did the same thing.

Search for a used one on ebay....

you will pay at least $100.00
