Softscrub on black leather ;)

Okay a lot of people with beige interiors have talked about the wonders of softscrub on their leather seats, but I never heard anyone talk about the effects of softscrub on black leather. My ’97 with factory black leather wasn’t in terrible condition, with the exception of the rear headrests which kinda looking shriveled up and feeling like sandpaper..

so anyway I decided to do the whole interior and follow up with my normal lexol cleaning and conditioning. I must admit that my leather does look better and feel a little smoother. However, I wouldn’t do it again, simply because of all the black dye that washed off after using softscrub. I know that this wasn’t dirt. I recommend for people with black leather to use leather softeners and to stick with lexol..

peace

I tested softscrub (lemon scent, non bleach) on my mom's black leather in the Pathfinder and on Ladeesman's black leather in his GLE. As long as you get the softsrub off it won't leave any residue. I used a system of rubbing the softsrub off with a dry towel (use white so you can see all the dirty come off ), then use a clean wet rag followed by a clean dry towel. Finish everything off with your favorite leather conditioner and you will be in love with your leather.
