2k2 engine in a 4th gen????

i can't search, so i was wondering if it would be possible to get a 2k2 engine (3.5) into a 4th gen max(99.5 se-l cali spec).....i will have a brand new 2k2 engine soon was just wondering if it would work, or what i would have to do to make it work, or if anyone has ever tried.....i know it's pretty far fetched, but i'd like some feedback, please dont flame, i'm just curious, i know the likelihood of this is small, but if someone could do it i'd be willing to try....

If you can afford to buy the engine you can afford to do the swap. However controlling the VTC's and IM switch over will be interesting. I'm sure the shop that does the swap can handle it.

If you want to "drop" in a 2k2 engine, you will have to replace numerous things. The tranny, axles, maybe the hubs/spindles, ECU, harness, maybe the engine mounts and lower support beam, etc etc etc.

Yeah but with that money, couldn't you buy the new engine. I mean that would be sweet.

P.S. If you do, go for the 6-speed tranny
