TB cleaner
My local Kragen didn't have Throttle Body cleaner. They suggested I use carb cleaner, which I read in a thread that it will destroy a protective lubricating film on the TB surface. The Kragen worker said "no, it's teflon safe, so it will work ok".
So is a teflon safe carb cleaner ok to use in the tb?

Re: TB cleaner
I'm going to use STP Throttle Body & Air Intake Cleaner to clean my TB this weekend.

I have a can of good old carb cleaner and a can of air intake cleaner. Reading the car, they both are pretty much the exact same thing. Toluene, Acetone, Methanoal - The air intake cleaner also contains Propane. Conclusion, it's the same stuff.

Do you put cottonseed, linseed, or corn oil in your engine? Probably not...but oil is oil right?
