For certain applications there is a threaded insert that you can buy, but 99% of the time you just use set screws. I had a Momo race air leather in my cherokee for 2 years and it never losened up. They make those things to last.

The **** that I have has no threads; instead it has 3 hex-head screws at its base; the tips of the screws are sharp and they quickly wore a deep groove into the shifter. Now I can spin the **** and pull it off w/o losening the screws. I want a **** that's threaded!

I love the weight of the new shift ****, plus the round feel.

I still have the shift **** but no 5-speed on which to use it!

Can anyone take a picture of the inside of their Momo ****, please? I am curious as to how they are designed.
Also, how is the fitment between a Momo **** and the 2k2/3 shift boot?
Thank you for your help
