Insane quote at FIRESTONE

I got a quote of over 400 dollars on my rear brakes. I have a 99 and he said i need new rotors. I was like wtf. Arent rotors at least last 10 years. The mechanic tried to rape my a** bad. I just chuckled how the hell they stay in business if they charge insane prices.

rotors dont necessarily last any certain amount of time. it depends on how well they have been taken care. replacing them would depend on how many times they have been turned or how bad the pads got. obviously its a high quote because they buy parts at one price then up that price then sell to you. i would take it to another place for a second opinion and see what they say about the rotors.

I had 80K miles on the max and it still had its original rear pads and rotors. Rear pads last forever unless you wreck the car...

Firestone quoted me like 700$ for tires, installed and balanced.. that I could have purchased at tirerack or even other tire shops for under 400$ shipped, then paid a tire shop 50$ to mount and balance them. Firestone or just chain mechanic shops aren't the best of deals IMHO.

Yeah..they quoted me at $1200 for the tires I have now, which I got off Tirerack for $750, plus $50 to mount and balance.

firestone is a joke. trying to get suckas to spit out money who dont have a clue wat there gonna do. thank you maxima.org for informing me and learning not to get ripped off by corporate rip offs like firestone. Before the org i got ripped off of a starter for 200 bux w/ installation. It ****es me off hardcore when these **********s try to rip off a uninformed kid of his hard earned money.
